1. My score indicates that I have a good understanding of... I have a pretty good understanding of articles, prepositions, nouns, verbs, verb phrases, independent clauses, dependent clauses, complex sentences, interrogative sentences, and exclamatory sentences.
2. My score indicates that I need to work on... Some things I need to work on are adjectives, subordinating conjunctions, predicates, subjects, and direct objects.
3. What strategies in the future might you use to increase your score? I can use my grammar packet that shows you signal words for the things that I had trouble with. to find adjectives it says that an adjective answers one of these three questions; how many, which one, what kind. For subordinating conjunctions it gives a list of all of the words that a subordinating conjunction can be. For predicates it says it can be a verb and other words that are about the subject. For subject is says the noun or subject pronoun that the sentence is about. For direct objects it says a noun or object pronoun that receives the action of the verb and is only found with an action verb.
4. Identify three specific things that you have learned regarding grammar. I have learned that some words can fit into several categories and you have to observe the sentence to tell what it is. I have also learned that a subordinating conjunction signals a dependent clause on the 4th line. The last thing I learned was that an exclamation point can be an imperative type, and not just exclamatory.
